The Rides of The Rider's Workshop
Natural Bridge to Southeast Ohio Tour
NATURAL BRIDGE TO SOUTHEAST OHIO

May 4 - 7 ONLY

This lengthy four day and four night Workshop covers Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and Ohio. The Workshop is geared for advanced riders who have ridden with me twice before, have at least 250,000 of riding experience or have been specifically invited by me. It's a challenging ride over some of the most technical roads found anywhere in the east. Riders must be skilled, and reliable.

Day One is roughly 300 miles long to our destination - the Natural Bridge Hotel outside Lexington, Virginia. Day Two is a 260 mile, detailed survey of some of the prettiest, technical and Invisible Roads of east central Virginia.

Day three will find us disappearing onto 300 miles worth of Invisible Roads to the Lafayette Hotel in Marietta, Ohio. The Lafayette is a very cool place to stay. Built in 1927; it's got a authentic "old time" feel to the place. Excellent cuisine to be found as well.

On Day Four we'll ride the unique terrain of southeast Ohio. Day Five we'll say our goodbyes and head for home.

I meet up with riders at 7:30 AMat the Cozy Inn in Thurmont, Maryland. You’ll be glad to know I am very punctual. From there we ride a very short distance for breakfast where introductions are made, I review the highlights of the day’s Tour. The Advance Rider Course Syllabus and two way radios are distributed and explained. Then we’ll disappear onto the Invisible Roads! We have plenty of stops along the way. Lunch is in Sperryville, Virginia around 12:30 PM. We arrive at Natural Bridge between 6:00 and 6:30. You’ll sleep well.

Day Two begins at breakfast at 7:00 AM. We’re off by around 8:30. The roads of east central Virginia are beautiful, remote and always Invisible. The routing of 260 miles is guaranteed to put a smile on the face of the experienced motorcyclist.

Day Three finds us traveling across some 300 miles of the southeast through the Monongahela, Washington and Jefferson National Forest, to New Martinsville,  West Virginia. We'll cross the Ohio River there and pick up Route 26 into Marietta, Ohio.

Day Four will be spent with me showcasing the hidden hills, rivers and corkscrew curves of SE Ohio. This is technical motorcycling at its best!
